I met up with Ed and took a ride over to RISD. Ed's former instructor invited Club Pyro (his bronze pouring class name) to view an aluminum pour. A student was creating an aluminum chair for a furniture class. We
pushed open the the large metal doors and walked into the Foundry and was surrounded by loud jet like sound. I looked to my right and saw the burner. In the ground was the cauldron where the Aluminum was being melted, it looked like a volcano. Now they turned up the heat and the sounds and looks very much like a jet engine. Afterwards more of the aluminum was dumped in and the heat turned up. After dropping in some amonium sulfide (i think) the instructor turned the lights off so that we could get a nice view of what it would look like prior to the light show. WOW!!!!!!
