10/16,17,18 BondCliff Hike 4265 ft

Mike, Buster and I head up a day early to grab a campsite - Alison, Mr Daily and Hank are meeting us the day after.    We stop at Zealand hut for lunch and some pictures.  Mt Guyot is mighty windy and the view of S. Twin is awesome.   Descending to the bond campsite I am beat and hungry. We luck out and grab the last platform YES!  I am whining because this is the first time I am lugging more than 60 lbs (63 lbs - Mike's bag is heavier at 68 lbs).   Dinner is sounding good and taste better after Mike almost succeeds at lighting the platform ablaze (oops!).

In the morning we hike to South Twin, I am only carrying my camelback but I am beat - it must have been the fact I didn't eat much for breakfast, my dehydrated scambled eggs were a bit runny.  We get back to the platform and take a nap before the rest of our group arrives.  Alison and her dad arrive - and to Buster's delight Hank is here too.   They unload some gear and we're off to Mt Bond and the cliffs.  Holy super sunny and clear, snaps a plenty at Bond.  Mr. Daily decided to take Hank back to the camp and Mike, Alison, Buster and I decide to take a quick 'jog' to the Bondcliffs.   It is a bit farther than anticipated but it is warm.  We arrive an hour before sunset and enjoy the views.

We make it to Bond to enjoy the sunset.  We brought our lights so the hike back to the campsite was not too bad as darkness fell ....no light to do the run to West Bond....lasagna calls!  Alison's dad pulls out Alison and his dinner - some super looking chicken while I have 3 cheese lasagna....  We brought the road house tent enough room for all but dueling dogs left Hank and Mr Daily outside on the platform in the Artic bag......

All together an awesome hike!
