via Asquaam Ridge Trail, camp site location near Beaver Brook and Asquaam intersection Encountered blowdowns en-route to the peak after setting up camp. Snow and ice on trails and tree tops. Excellent view from various points as the sky remained in its clear state. The path leading to the remains of the carraige hotel at the peak was lined with frost feathered cairns as the sun began to set, casting a brilliant orange glow over the exposed trail. We were accompanied by a Canadian Jay on the hike down to the campsite. Took several attempts to get the fire started. Temperature dropped to 32 degrees. Clear night sky, several satelites could be seen streaking across the sky. Clouds moved in, what would have been a light rain due to the temperature came down as snow.
Took a ride down to the Woodstock Inn brewery for some drink and fine eats!
