The day was clear and sunny with spinkles from the night prior leaving the underbrush somewhat moist. The river crossings were 'raging' as far as the Whites could offer this time of year and provided some form of entertainment as we looked for good places to cross - little did they know NZ provides more moisture than they'd like to see :-)
