| Some date (Charlestown, RI) - Mike Cavros posted the best results between the ABC'ers with a time under 60 minutes. Great job! We decided to try the staggered cat and mouse method putting Ed in front of me and Cavros chasing. The fastest guy in the back! Mike has improved to stellar levels this year I'd have to admit, awesome dude! I think Mike DeLessio and Mike Cavros would have been fun to watch in a duel.
Ed shot off and the chase was to begin, 30 seconds later I was off - in the hunt to chase Ed. Within 2 miles I could see Ed and I started to reel him in... wasn't long that Mike Cavros zoomed by me...I picked up the pace and hurt hurt hurt! But hey this is a TT and this is what you are supposed to do - go 100% if not 105% for the entire run and fall off your bike in the end. Well to make a long story short - it took me another 36 km to finally pass Ed! I tell ya, Ed was strong after seeing Mike go by! Made it hell for me to catch him but that's great right?! Arggg! legs were way burnt in the end. And let me tell ya Mike D... I was 30 this year and out for the < 29 group.... crap! no MEDAL for me this year..... Doooooooooh! Shawn Mottram whipped our butts (gee - that's a surprise) with a time of 00:56:31. This is the posted results from 1999, when Mike DeLessio, Ed Gong and myself. The results from the 2000 race is in the super high tech scribble on the bottom of the page... hahaha! enjoy! |
